 వాళ్లు ఉపాసించే దేవుడు ఎవరో తెలుసా? రుద్రుడు. ఆగండాగండి. తొందరపడి ఓ డెసిషన్‌కు వచ్చేయకండి. ఇక్కడ రుద్రుడు అంటే మనం అంతా అనుకునే శివుడు కాడు. మహాదేవుడు కానే కాదు. ఈ అఘోరాలు ఉపాసించే రుద్రుడు వేరే ఉన్నాడు. ఆయన రూప విశేషాలు వేరే ఉంటాయి. భయానికి, బీభత్సానికి సింబల్‌ ఈ రుద్రుడు. భారత రామాయణాల కాలానికి చాలా ముందు నుంచి మౌఖికంగా వ్యాప్తమైన నాలుగు వేదాల్లో ఒకటైన ఋగ్వేదంలో మొదట ప్రస్తావించిన పేరు రుద్రుడు. ఈ పేరు తరువాతి కాలంలో శివుడికి ప్రత్యామ్నాయ పేరుగా మారిందే కానీ. ఈ ఇద్దరూ వేర్వేరు. మనందరికీ తెలిసింది శివుడైనా, శంకరుడైనా, రుద్రుడైనా, మహాదేవుడైనా ఒకరనే. ఋగ్వేదంలో కనీసం 75 చోట్ల ఈ రుద్రుడి ప్రస్తావన ఉంటుంది. విశ్వంలో 11మంది రుద్రులున్నట్లు కూడా అందులో తెలుస్తుంది. ఈ 11మందిలో శివుడు, శంకరుడు, మహాదేవుడి పేర్లు కూడా ఉంటాయి కానీ, అఘోరులు ఉపాసించే రుద్రుడు వేదకాలం నాటి దేవుడు. శివ, రుద్రుల మధ్యన స్పష్టమైన విభజన రేఖ ఉంది. శివుడు బోళా శంకరుడు. రుద్రుడు అలా కాదు. ఈ రుద్రుడు మనం ఇంగ్లీషులో పిలుచుకుంటామే.. ‘ది రోరర్‌' అంటే గర్జించే పులి. దాని పేరే ‘ఘోరా’ ఈ ఘోరా నే రుద్రుడు. ఇతణ్ణి గాలి, గాలివాన లతో పోల్చారు.అందుకే ఈ రుద్రుణ్ణి ఉపాసించే వాళ్లు తమకు తాము అఘోరాలయ్యారు. ఈ రుద్రుడి గురించి మన వాళ్లే కాదు. విదేశీయులైన ప్రొఫెసర్‌ పిశె్చల్‌, గ్రాస్‌మన్‌, స్టెల్లా క్రమరిచ్‌లు చాలా పరిశోధనలే చేశారు. మన దేశానికి సంబంధించి ఆర్కే శర్మ ఎటిమాలజీ రుద్రుడి గురించిన ‘ఘోరా’ రూపాన్ని విసృ్తతంగా చర్చిస్తుంది. ఈ రుద్రుడు మనలో రౌద్రానికి ప్రతీక. ఇతను ఎరుపు రంగులో ఉంటాడట. అది రక్తానికి ప్రతీక. రుద్రుడంటే భయం.. రుద్రుడు రోగాలకు అధిపతి. మృత్యువుకు ప్రతిరూపం. అందుకే ఇవి రెండూ అఘోరుల దరిదాపుల్లోకి కూడా రావు. మనం 50 ఏళ్లు బతకటానికి ఆపసోపాలు పడతాం.. వాళ్లు అలవోకగా ఎన్నేళ్లయినా బతికేస్తారు. అదీ ఇష్టం ఉండి కాదు. భౌతిక సుఖాలు కోరుకుని కాదు. రుద్రుడిని ఉపాసించి. ధ్యానించి.. ఆవాహన చేసుకుని.. తామే రుద్రులుగా మారిపోయి..

Patal Bhuvaneshwar (Hindi पाताल भुवनेश्वर) is a limestone cave temple 14 km from Gangolihat in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand state in India. It is located in the village of Bhubneshwar. Legend and folklore have it that this cave enshrines Lord Shiva and thirty three koti demigods [33 types and not crore]. The cave is 160 m long and 90 feet deep from the point of entrance. Limestone rock formations have created various spectacular stalactite and stalagmite figures of various hues and forms. This cave has a narrow tunnel-like opening which leads to a number of caves. The cave is fully electrically illuminated. Built by the flow of water, Patal Bhuvaneshwar is not just one cave, rather a series of caves within caves.

Like most of the Urdu poets, Azmi began as a ghazal writer, cramming his poetry with the repeated themes of love and romance in a style that was replete with clichés and metaphors. However, his association with the Progressive Writers' Movement and Communist Party made him embark on the path of socially conscious poetry. In his poetry, he highlights the exploitation of the subaltern masses and through them he conveys a message of the creation of a just social order by dismantling the existing one. Yet, his poetry cannot be called plain propaganda. It has its own merits; intensity of emotions, in particular, and the spirit of sympathy and compassion towards the disadvantaged section of society, are the hallmark of his poetry. His poems are also notable for their rich imagery and in this respect, his contribution to Urdu poetry can hardly be overstated.^[6] Azmi's first collection of poems, Jhankar was published in 1943. His important works including anthologies of poetry, were Aakhir-e-Shab,^[2] Sarmaya, Awaara Sajde, Kaifiyaat, Nai Gulistan, an anthology of articles he wrote for Urdu Blitz, Meri Awaaz Suno,^[2] a selection of his film lyrics, and the script of Heer Ranjha in Devanagari.^[8]

His best known poems are Aurat, Makaan, Daaera, Sanp, and Bahuroopni.
